Since I’ve been doing this blog for a while now, I’ve already posted about a number of noteworthy worship groups. Rather than revisit all of them individually, I thought today would be a great day to put up a couple of songs by each of them. Get it all done in one day, you know?
These guys each deserve a whole post of their own, but I want to get this thing moving along with the Worship Wars so I can go on to other things.
Here are some great worship groups from The Blah Blah‘s past you owe it to yourself to check out, in no particular order:
Agents of Future
A worship band like none other, Agents of Future are a wild, crazy, passionate bunch who give everything when they worship God. Not very “pretty” but this is worship at its best.

Robbie Seay Band
Gravelly vocals, a great bassist, and an ability to join modern worship songs with themes of social justice, personal stories, and the historical church. Some of their songs are really amazing.

I’m thinking in particular of the Chair and Microphone album. Simple acoustic guitar and vocals. Heartfelt worship based out of the Psalms. What more do you want? Besides this album, for all his work with Enter the Worship Circle and 100 Portraits, it’s obvious this guy can worship.

This Beautiful Mess
If Radiohead merged with U2 and started making some amazing worship songs, you’d get This Beautiful Mess. The music is impressive and the lyrics are more than the standard worship boredom.

The Listening
If Radiohead merged with Pink Floyd and started making some amazing worship songs, you’d get The Listening. Moody, trippy, ethereal stuff, but still normal enough for most folks.

Misty Edwards
Intense, intimate piano-led worship coming from IHOP-KC. The music is good, the lyrics are definitely above average, but it’s the passion that brings it home.

Well, that’s it for now. I’m sure I’ll cover one or two other artists that I’ve already covered before the Worship Wars are over, but this’ll help me get moving a little faster.

The download links for Misty Edwards, The Listening, and This Beautiful Mess (21st Advent Hymn) are incorrect.

I think some of your ‘download’ links are misdirected…

All of these are awesome! I’m particularly fond of the Listening, not so much because I’m crazy about the trippy sound, but because almost always feel the presence of God when I listen to them. I even stole the title of one of their songs as my blog’s name. But I really like ’em all. There really is a lot of great music out there that glorifies God.

Thanks for all the great music in this blog. However, I still can’t access any of the links in this post. Is there a problem with hotlinkfiles?
